Changes due to the Private Education Act
We would like to inform you about the upcoming changes that we are making to the Policies and Procedures at Chatsworth International School in order to
comply with the Private Education Act (Regulations) S 617/2009 on Section 25 sub-section (3) first published in the Government Gazette, Electronic Edition,
14th December 2009 at 5.00pm, whereby private schools are no longer permitted to collect deposits.
As we are no longer allowed to collect deposits, we regret that parents currently paying school fees by installment will no longer be able to do so as of the next academic year. School fees will need to be paid in full before the beginning of every semester. If you do not wish to use the deposit to offset the school fees, the deposit will be returned to you only at the conclusion of this semester.
As we can no longer collect deposits, we will be setting a new procedure in place for the collection of school fees so as to ensure that places reserved for returning
as well as incoming students are actually taken up. To this effect we will be collecting the school fees well in advance in order allow us to conduct planning
for the next semester.
